SAFE WATER HEATER WARRANTY

Water Heater Warranty Coverage — Clear and Organized.

Register the exact water heater, installation date, property and equipment photos so SAFE can verify coverage and follow up efficiently if service is needed.

Warranty coverage summary

5 years* Manufacturer’s limited unit warranty

Coverage is provided by the manufacturer and remains subject to the written terms, exclusions, parts coverage and registration requirements for the exact unit and model.

2 years SAFE installation labor warranty

For 24 months from the installation date, SAFE covers qualifying correction of defects caused by SAFE’s original installation workmanship.

Important: Online registration creates an organized SAFE warranty record. It does not expand, replace or change the manufacturer’s written warranty.

How a labor warranty request is reviewed

  1. Contact SAFE and provide the warranty reference, property address and a description of the problem.
  2. A SAFE technician reviews the record and may request photos, troubleshooting information or an on-site inspection.
  3. The technician determines whether the issue resulted from SAFE’s original installation workmanship.
  4. If covered, SAFE will correct or reperform the affected installation work without a labor charge and will provide standard corrective materials related to that covered workmanship.

What is not automatically covered

  • Manufacturer defects, failed internal parts or tank leaks controlled by the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Damage from abuse, neglect, freezing, flood, fire, power surge, hard water, corrosive water or external events.
  • Changes or repairs made by another contractor, owner or third party after SAFE’s work.
  • Existing plumbing, gas, electrical, venting, structural or code conditions not caused by SAFE.
  • Maintenance, normal wear, cosmetic conditions or service outside the original installation scope.
  • Permit, code-upgrade or access work that was not part of the original written scope.

Inspection and authorization

A SAFE technician must inspect or otherwise verify the condition before coverage is approved. Do not authorize another company to alter the original installation before SAFE has a reasonable opportunity to inspect, except when immediate action is necessary to protect people or property.

Transfer and proof

The SAFE installation labor warranty remains associated with the original installed unit at the original property for the remainder of the 24-month term. Manufacturer transferability is governed only by the manufacturer’s terms. Keep the invoice, model and serial number, installation photos and warranty reference.
